Cricket Mountain Writing Retreat

In June I attended the Cricket Mountain Retreat with other members of the Codex writing community. Five days with big chunks of uninterrupted time where I only had to be responsible for writing, eating, and sleeping? Idyllic. The six of us filled the down time with collaborative cooking, card games, and impromptu writing chats – all equally good for the soul. Abby Goldsmith’s talented pen captured us well in the guest book at the end of the week. There’s a power in doing this solitary thing in the company of others.
